Weddings are beautiful, no matter whom the two parties are. We should have the freedom to marry whom we choose, legally, but for many couples, they only have civil unions. That special day is the same whether it is a same sex or a traditional marriage. Sharing your life and love together is a glorious time, but who pays for the ceremony?

In a traditional wedding the bride’s parents pay for the wedding and the grooms parents the rehearsal dinner. It is something that I am sure that is big on gay chat . But with these new traditions come new dilemmas. How do same sex couples fund their big day? If it is an older couple, it is obvious they would share the bill. However, what if it is a young couple taking vowels? Should parents be responsible for the cost of the wedding, or at least split the cost?
